För något år sedan blev Richfields resurser ( i närheten av BGM ) sålt till New Gold.inc. Betalningen blev då ~144 $ per oz i resursen / reserven. Från inferred och uppåt i klassningen. BGM har 135 M aktier “fully diluted” inga skulder och runt 10 M $ i kassan. Om vi applicerar det på BGM skulle vi får följande värde per aktie:
1 M tr Oz = $144 M = 1.06 $ per aktie ( ungefär vad man har i den befintliga NI 43-101:an)
2 M tr Oz = $288 M = 2.13 $ per aktie
3 M tr Oz = $432 M = 3.20 $ per aktie
4 M tr Oz = $576 M = 4.26 $ per aktie
Det fina är att i exemplet nedan är det inte inkluderat att BGM har ( vilket Richfield inte hade ):
1. Två kvarnar.
2. Högre guldhalter
3. Guldet står högre nu än när Richfields affär genomfördes.
OCH
4. Det stora pluset att BGM är en PRODUCENT vilket motiverar ännu högre pris per tr Oz mot ett bolag utan produktion.
Man har ju en gammal NI 43:a med följande resurser / reserver ( nästan 1 M tr Oz ):
Reserver: 116 640 oz
M&I: 635 274 oz
Indicated: 185 136 oz
Tittar vi på exemplet ovan så är BGM redan i dagsläget riktigt undervärderad redan utan den resursuppdatering som väntas om drygt en månad. Till den uppdateringen ska vi lägga till flera år av borrningar med, som mest, åtta 8 ( ! ) riggar som borrat 24 / 7.
Jag räknar konservativt med 2 - 2,5 M tr Oz ( läser man på forumen så tror många på 3 M tr Oz och uppåt ) vilket skulle motivera en värdering enligt ovan på 2 - 3 $ per aktie eller ca 200% från dagens 0,84 $ per aktie.
Även om vi skulle halvera värdet per tr Oz till ca 70 $ så är uppsidan betydlig.
Varför är då aktien undervärderad. Resursuppdateringen skulle kommit förra sommaren men på grund av utökat borrprogam och förseningar hos labbet är den sen. För ett par veckor fick jag till svar att den väntas slutet på Mars / April så det är vad jag hoppas och tror på. BGM är också underanlyserat med bara en analytiker som följer aktien ( mot ca 5-6 i liknande bolag ). Senaste PP:n har också pressat kursen.

Hur ser du på risken att resursuppdateringen skjuts upp ytterligare och vilken inverkan skulle detta ha på kursen?
Ja det är ju inte omöjligt att den blir sen. Den var ju väntad till i sommras så...
Blir den sen så är risken att en del blir otåliga och säljer med sjunkande kurs som resultat.

"TGR: Can you tell us about some of the companies you particularly like at this point and what you´re expecting from them in the next couple of years?
BC: One of those would be Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. (BGM:TSX.V). Barkerville is a $90M market-cap company with 117,000 hectares in the Cariboo Gold Belt in British Columbia that has produced 3.8 Moz of gold historically. It has seven past-producing mines; three gold deposits, including the QR Mine and a 900-ton-per-day (tpd) mill; and recently permitted the Bonanza Ledge Mine. I like this particular company because there´s been a lot of gold produced in this area. It has really beefed up its advisory team and insiders own about 10%.
In 2012, Barkerville intends to process ore from Bonanza Ledge to produce about 20–30,000 ounces (20–30 Koz). At $800/oz cash cost and $1,700/oz gold, operating cash flow will be between $18M and $27M. There is potential to develop additional mineable reserves at the QR Mine to boost that production to 50 Koz in 2012. It´s waiting for results on 33 more holes. One hole at Cow Mountain returned 52 meters of 14.2 grams/ton (g/t) gold. Within 24 months we would expect over 100 Koz of annual production. At a conservative $3,000/oz, we´ve got a $300M value to the company, which triples its $90M market cap.
TGR: Well, those are pretty substantial numbers."

Frank Callaghan reports BARKERVILLE ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF JACK MILLER, P.ENG The board of directors of Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. has added Jack Miller, PEng, as the acting chief executive officer to oversee all operational activities of the company. Mr. Miller will be working closely with advisory board members, Henry Ewanchuk and William Fisher, as the company completes a review of all assets. Mr. Miller holds a BASc and an MASc in geological engineering and is a registered professional engineer. He has held various site operating and head office leadership roles in multiple base and precious metal operating companies. In these roles, Mr. Miller has been responsible for the entire mine development cycle, starting from exploration through development and finally to operations. His most recent role, prior to retirement in 2010, was chief operating officer for Quadra FNX Mining Ltd., where he was responsible for mining operations in Canada, the United States of America and Chile. As a senior leader, he was a key contributor to the overall direction of Quadra. J. Frank Callaghan will become the non-executive chairman of the company. Mr. Callaghan stated, "The company welcomes Jack and the valuable mine development, technical and operational expertise that he brings to the team." The company will be seeking appropriate management and board strength to support the transition from explorer to a gold producer. The company has reserved an option to purchase an aggregate of 600,000 common shares for a term of five years at a price of 85 cents per share, which option will vest in instalments. The technical information in this news release has been reviewed and approved by chief geologist, Jim Yin, PhD, PGeo, a qualified person as defined in National Instrument 43-101.
