Today THQ Nordic announced the purchase of the “Kingdoms of Amalur” IP and other assets from 38 Studios. The first and only game in the franchise, Reckoning, was released in 2012 with strong user reception. In this short comment, we give some data on how much the game initially sold when released and what we think is the next logical step will be for the newly acquired IP. Our current Base-case valuation for THQ Nordic amounts to 212 SEK per share.
