Today, Pila Pharma announced that it has initiated the awaited three-month toxicological studies for XEN-DIA (XEN-D0501). These toxicological studies are required to confirm the safety profile needed for the company to submit for regulatory approval for its planned phase llb-trial in type two diabetes. XEN-DIA has previously been evaluated in toxicological studies in humans with up to one-month doses with appealing results. We feel encouraged that the timeline for XEN-DIA seems to be progressing according to the previously communicated plan. Thus, we expect the results of the three-month study to be communicated in Q4 this year.
Acknowledging today’s uplifting news, we reiterate our Base case of SEK 7.5, suggesting a hefty upside in the share, which currently trades at SEK 3.7.
